Girls say “yes to the dress.” The Princess Project San Diego presents girls the opportunity to receive their dream dress for Prom. The Princess Project is a non-profit organization with more than 300 volunteers that provides girls on a budget the help to find a free dress and accessory for Prom. This opens up an opportunity to girls who otherwise wouldn’t be able to purchase a dress. The organization aims to collect over 2,000 dresses this prom season. This program is run by the Princess Project, but Publications Adviser Jessica Young will be chaperoning students for the event. Girls will be driven by teachers to Horton Plaza Mall on April 11, from 4 pm to 8 pm. Other dates available could be found on their website at PrincessProjectSD.org. Appointments open online starting March 1.
“I’ve always worked with them to set aside a special chunk of time for our school because I know that we have students who would take advantage of it,” Young said.
